Ross Sport Spec RS Diff Conversion Kit

The mechanical RS rear differential has been a firm favourite upgrade for many years. For many years we have sourced and supplied good used units, but with the age of even the newest units now over 10 years old we decided that a kit containing new major parts was the best way to continue

This conversion is capable of handling huge power increases over the AYC alternative. We used exactly the same rear diff in our 8.75 second drag Evo which was proven to over 1000bhp . The plate type LSD is also completely configurable for different applications & driving styles. Many users report consistency in the way the car feels on the limit over the computer controlled AYC unit.

Our kit contains a mixture of new and some used parts to help keep the cost down!!

Kit contents:
New RS Rear Diff Carrier (Latest & Strongest Part Number - Evo 9MR RS & X RS)
New Drive Shafts and outer Joints
Used Inner Joints in VGC
New Front Support Bracket
Used Rear Support Bracket
Mixture or new and used hardware - depending on whats in stock

These kits are a direct fit on to Evo 5-9 GSR
The 4-6 models will require the prop shaft to be shortened by approx 25mm (there should be no preload on the front diff bearing from the propshaft) - Many commercial vehicle service centres offer this service as its commonly performed on rigid HGV's

The 7-9 models, will normally accept the GSR prop shaft with no modifications. However measurements should be taken to ensure the prop shaft is not exerting load on to the front diff bearing.
Regarding the AYC diff pump. The Pump should be left in place and the 2 feeds that went to the AYC diff should be blanked off at the pump (search "pump bung" on our site and they will come up) The hydraulic feed for the ACD should be left undisturbed.
