APT / Pace Dry Sump System - Evo 4-9

Background:
The Evo with its transverse mounted engine is susceptible to oil surge especially on long right hand corners. The stock 5.5l of oil is quickly distributed around the block & head and physically cant make it back to the sump, leaving the oil pick up pipe able to ingest air. This air is what's commonly referred to as 'surge'. During surge conditions the engine bearings and other aspects of the engine that rely on good oil pressure are able to run with reduced lubrication which can cause damage, and ultimately lead to an engine failure. Increasing vehicle G force levels, coupled with increasing crankcase pressures, it becomes apparent that OEM oil systems are not be able to provide adequate oil supply and oil evacuation.

We often get asked if there is an alternative to a dry sump system. In short - no! There are parts on the market that will increase the length of time you have oil pressure at full lateral g-force before surge develops, but they cannot cure surge. Only a dry sump system can achieve that.

Dry sump oiling systems are far from new technology. They have been in use for decades and first originated to help against oil starvation in aircraft which flew inverted.

In the Race engine environment, as the power and RPM increase so does the oil requirement. Addressing this area is key to maintaining a healthy power plant.

Pace V3 Kit

The V1 Pace kit was launched back in early 00's, then underwent a major revision in 2009 with AP-Tuning.
The V2 kit has since been further developed (in prototype from) to provide a solution for some of the quickest Evos on the planet!
In 2019 Pace handed production of the Dry Sump program over to world famous engine build & design house - Neil Brown Engineering. Working together with AP-Tuning, the Version 2 proptotype kit was modelled and put in to full production, bringing you what we believe to be the most highly developed, engineered, & tested Evo 4-9 kit on the market.

The V3 Kit is supplied complete with every thing needed to fit to the engine.
- Billet front cover
-3 stage BG oil pump with AN fittings
- Billet alloy pump bracket
- Cast optimised baffled scavenge pan c/w AN fittings
- High quality pulley & belt
- All fittings & hardware needed to install
- Suitable for up to 11,000rpm
- Downloat fitting instructions from tab at the top of the page
