It is highly recommended to change the spark plugs in your Evo IX frequently for improved ignition, better gas mileage, and improved throttle response. If your Evo IX is modified, you will want to inspect your plugs regularly for fuel deposit build up, corrosion, etc. These R7437-9 plugs are two steps colder then the stock plugs. If you Evo IX is modified you will want to run one step colder plugs.
