GT Camshafts products are CAD designed and CNC machined to optimise torque and horsepower over the widest possible power band. Each camshaft application is offered in multiple profiles, each with their own lift & duration characteristics to suit various levels of tuning.
GT Camshafts are manufactured from the best quality brand new chill-cast , or ductile iron , steel cores. By manufacturing all of our camshafts from new cores, GT is able to offer camshafts that equal or exceed the quality of the OEM units they are designed to replace.
All of our CNC grinders use small diameter grinding CBN wheels which we can use to create a negative radius of up to -80 mm which will give the fastest valve openings.
GT camshafts are checked with a sub-micron accuracy measuring device (Adcole with .01 micron resolution), taking one datum point each 1/10th of a degree or 3,600 data points per resolution.
