These covers are girdled with two load bolts that tighten down against the bearing caps in the rear diff. This prevents deflection of the bearing caps leading to ring/pinion failure. This same design has been used on our DSM diff covers for quite some time, with many stock rear differential cars now running 8’s (as quick as 8.12 on Devin Schultz’s Red Demon). These are good peace of mind for any high horsepower Evo.
