These bearing caps are machined from 4140 pre-hard alloy steel and are a direct replacement for the bearing caps in the Evo 1-9 RS Diff and DSM rear ends. Our girdled diff covers have proven that there is an issue with bearing cap deflection in these rear ends, and these will add a second line of defense alongside the diff covers. These are not a replacement for the girdled diff covers, but are a supplement to further increase strength. ARP 8740 fasteners are also provided to replace the low grade factory fasteners.
